Ryan Alcantara
Associate Dean of Students

Ryan Alcantara joined the New Student Programs
staff in April 2005. In this role, he provides leadership for New
Student Programs and the Student Affairs component of Freshman
Programs. He has worked on campus since August of 1997 serving as
the Director of Honors & Scholars Support Services most recently.
Ryan earned a master’s in higher education administration from the
University of Connecticut and is currently a doctoral candidate in
the School of Policy, Planning, and Development at the University of Southern California.

Larry
Martin
Senior Coordinator

Larry joined the Dean of Students staff in July 2000 after
receiving his master of education degree from Azusa Pacific
University. Prior to coming to Cal State Fullerton, Larry worked
with the orientation program at Biola University for five years
as an undergraduate and graduate student. Larry is responsible
for providing leadership for all New Student Orientation
programming as well as the management of the day-to-day
operations in the New Student Information Center (LH-112) and
the Student Information & Referral Center (UH-178).

Brett Robertson

Brett joined Cal State Fullerton in August 2005.
He is responsible for coordinating Campus Tours, Titan Weeks of
Welcome, and Student Life Orientation. Prior to becoming a Titan,
Brett served as an advisor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in
Student Support Services (TRIO) Programs. In addition, he earned a
Master of Science in Counseling, Student Development in Higher
Education from California State University, Long Beach.

Serena Cline

Serena has been part of Cal State Fullerton since April 2006.
She works with New Student Orientation and provides leadership
for the parent and transfer orientation programs. Serena received her
Master of Education in College Student Affairs at Azusa Pacific
University. Before coming to Cal State Fullerton, Serena worked at the
Claremont Colleges in academic support and residential life.

Susan Amdahl
Administrative Support Coordinator
samdahl@fullerton.edu
Susan is responsible
for the human resources processes, information technology needs,
student payroll, purchasing, travel and the budget for New Student
Programs. She recently received her bachelor's degree in Human
Services from Cal State Fullerton.
