Kandy Mink Salas Dean of Students Titan Student Union room 235 (714) 278-3211 kmink@fullerton.edu Kandy S. Mink has been a university student affairs professional for 19 years, working in the areas of student affairs administration, student life, and leadership training and development. She currently serves as the Dean of Students at CSUF and has oversight responsibility for programs and departments such as Student Life, Judicial Affairs, New Student Programs, Leadership and Multicultural Development, Honors and Scholars Support Services and the Assistant Deans for Student Affairs. Ms. Mink also chairs the campus wide Alcohol and Other Drug Advisory Committee and serves on the University Planning Committee representing Student Affairs. Prior to this position, Ms. Mink served as the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs at CSUF, as the Associate Director of Student Life at CSUF, and as the Assistant Director of Student Activities at the University of San Diego. Ms. Mink received her B.A. in English with a specialization in Women's Studies from UCLA and her M.S. in Counseling and Human Development from Minnesota State University, Moorhead. She is currently a doctoral student at the Claremont Graduate University studying Higher Education Administration. Sandra Rhoten Associate Dean Judicial Affairs Titan Student Union room 235 (714) 278-3211 srhoten@fullerton.edu Sandi joined the Cal State Fullerton family in July 1999 after spending 8 years at the University of Southern California as the Director of the Office for Student Conduct. She has also served in various positions at the University of Texas-Austin and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. In her current position she assists students to complete their academic goals by helping them understand and live by the standards established for a community of scholars as well as adjudicating complaints if there is an allegation that a student has violated those standards. Associate Dean Student Life Titan Student Union room 245 (714) 278-7622 euballe@fullerton.edu Juanita Razo Assistant Dean of Students Leadership & Multicultural Development Programs Titan Student Union room 235 (714) 278-3211 jrazo@fullerton.edu Juanita came to Cal State Fullerton and the Dean of Students Office in 1997. Her previous experience on-campus includes the coordination of New Student Programs and the Co-curricular Achievement Record program. Juanita currently oversees Leadership & Multicultural Development Programs, which includes programs such as the nationally recognized Student Leadership Institute, the University Leadership Conference, the campus's new Multicultural Leadership Center, and Greek Life. Andrea (Andi) Sims Coordinator Clubs and Organizations/America Reads and Counts Titan Student Union room 247 (714) 278-7622 asims@fullerton.edu Andi joined the Cal State Fullerton family in July 1999. She spent two years as Assistant Coordinator for New Student Programs, four years as the Coordinator of the Multicultural Leadership Center and currently serves as the Coordinator for Student Life Programs and Services. Andi earned her Master's of Science degree in Counseling with a specialization in Student Development in Higher Education at California State University, Long Beach. Larry Martin Senior Coordinator New Student Orientation University Hall 178 (714) 278-2501 larrymartin@fullerton.edu Larry joined the Dean of Students staff in July 2000 after receiving his master of education degree from Azusa Pacific University. Prior to coming to Cal State Fullerton, Larry worked with the orientation program at Biola University for 5 years as an undergraduate and graduate student. Larry is responsible for Frosh and Student Life Orientation. She has worked at both the intercultural center and Asian American resource centers at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as the Office of the Associate Provost for Equity and Diversity at the University of Maryland, College Park. After receiving her Master of Arts in College Student Personnel from the University of Maryland, she joined the staff of the Dean of Students Office to promote intercultural awareness, diversity education, and leadership building. Kevin McGinnis Assistant Coordinator Student Leadership Programs Titan Student Union room 235 (714) 278-3211 kmcginnis@fullerton.edu Kevin joined the Dean of Students Office in Fall of 2005 after finishing his graduate program in Student Development in Higher Education at Cal State Long Beach. Kevin’s prior experience was in residential life at Marymount College in Palos Verdes. He is currently in a doctoral program in religious studies at Claremont Graduate University. Amy Mattern Coordinator Service Learning Programs and Community Service Programs Titan Student Union room 2 (714) 278-7623 amattern@fullerton.edu Amy joined the Dean of Students Office team in July 2005 as the Acting Coordinator for the Volunteer & Service Center. In this position, she focuses on promoting volunteerism and community service amongst the campus community, overseeing student-led projects focused on children, hunger & homelessness, and the environment, as well as referring students, staff and faculty to other volunteer opportunities in the community. Amy first began her tenure working in Student Affairs at Cal State Fullerton in 2001 as an Academic Coordinator for the McNair Scholars Program. She then moved to the Vice President for Student Affairs Office as a Program Development Specialist focused on educational enhancement programs serving first generation, low-income and underrepresented students. Amy received a Master's degree in American Studies from Cal State Fullerton, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and American Studies from U.C. Davis. Ryan Alcantara Associate Dean New Student Programs University Hall Room 178 (714) 278-2501 ralcantara@fullerton.edu Ryan Alcantara joined the New Student Programs staff in April 2005. In this role, he provides leadership for New Student Programs and the Student Affairs component of Freshman Programs. He has worked on campus since August of 1997 serving as the Director of Honors & Scholars Support Services most recently. Ryan earned a master’s in higher education administration from the University of Connecticut and is currently pursuing a doctorate in public administration at the University of Southern California. Brett Robertson Coordinator Campus Tours & Welcome Weeks University Hall 178 (714) 278-2501 brettrobertson@fullerton.edu Brett joined Cal State Fullerton in August 2005. He is responsible for coordinating Campus Tours, Titan Weeks of Welcome, and Student Life Orientation. Prior to becoming a Titan, Brett served as an advisor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Student Support Services (TRIO) Programs. In addition, he earned a Master of Science in Counseling, Student Development in Higher Education from California State University, Long Beach.
