What is the SLI Banquet?

The Student Leadership Institute Banquet is an annual program that takes place in the spring semester to celebrate the achievements of the SLI program participants and program partners. This banquet recognizes SLI participants who have completed one or more leadership certificate tracks during the previous two or three semesters. Students will receive their Certificate of Completion, signed by the President of Cal State Fullerton and the Vice President for Student Affairs, at the banquet.

When is it?

The banquet occurs annually in May. Please contact the SLI office for information on specific times and dates.

Who attends?

SLI participants who have successfully completed all program requirements, SLI presenters, SLI student leaders, community college partners, and special guests are invited to attend.

Please note, given space limitations we are only able to invite SLI participants who have completed all of the workshops in a given track prior to the banquet, and have successfully completed the requirements of the experiential component. Please contact the SLI for questions regarding the banquet or eligibility.

Is there a fee?

There are no fees associated with this event

Who plans this event?

The banquet is planned by the Student Leadership Institute Coordinating Committee Assistant Director and Events Coordinator in collaboration with the Banquet Planning Committee. The Banquet Planning Committee is a group of SLI participants who volunteer to be involved with the planning and decision making of the banquet.
