History of the Desert Studies Center at Zzyzx

The Desert Studies Center is located at Soda Springs, on the edge of Soda Dry Lake, at the terminus of the Mojave River. The year-round springs in one of the most arid regions of North America have attracted humans and wildlife for thousands of years.
