Who will be the next person to come up with an invention or discovery that will change the world? Nobody knows. But it will likely be an engineer or computer scientist, because these fields attract men and women who have the ability and the drive to find new ways of doing things. They expand the possibilities. They power the future.

The Affiliates program of the College of Engineering and Computer Science is powered by the idea that industry, individuals and the university all benefit by working together to educate workforce-ready technologists of the highest caliber - the inventors of our future.

Excellence

There are more than 7,500 alumni of the College of Engineering and Computer Science making a difference in the world today, not just in the region but all around the globe. ECS is the springboard from which our students have launched successful careers, founded new companies, and developed new technologies, solutions, and systems for industry.

Affiliates, through their membership support and active participation, are key stakeholders in the continuing legacy of all Engineering and Computer Science Students.

Innovation

Internet, the lightning speed of technological change and the increasingly multi-disciplinary face of technology in the workplace demand that we innovate, providing a continually evolving inquiry-based, hands-on curriculum utilizing state-of-the-art knowledge and equipment.

ECS Affiliates is a mission critical to enabling our students to keep pace in an atmosphere of constant change. With the support of its Affiliates, the College of Engineering and Computer Science forges technologists of the future who will provide the backbone of technological growth in our region. Specifically, Affiliates memberships help fund key initiatives such as:
