Jon Haider of Upland, a civil engineering major graduating this month at Cal State Fullerton, won first place in the Undergraduate Engineering and Computer Science category at the 25th annual California State University Student Research Competition. click here for more info.
In Fall 2011, the department is offering a new course, EGCE 467 – Railroad Engineering and High Speed Rail. The class meets on Saturday, 9:30AM-12:15PM in room SGMH 1506. The first class is on August 20. This course is an open technical elective to all undergraduate and graduate students. The course will be taught by Rick Simon from HNTB.
This course will be also offered in the Spring 2012 semester and the class will meet on Saturday morning.
All students who plan to graduate with a MS degree in Fall 2011, need to take a Written Comprehensive Exam (WCE). The application which declares their intent to graduate in Fall needs to be submitted to the department office by September 2. Specific details about the exam will be given to the students by September 9. Application for Comprehesive Exam
The exam will be conducted on Saturday, December 3, 2011 (2-5PM, Room E-11).
