CEE Positions Now Available!
The Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Department at the California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) seeks faculty candidates for tenure-track positions at the assistant professor level. The start date is August 2014. Candidates with backgrounds in all subspecialties are sought but those with research experience in structural engineering, environmental engineering and construction engineering and management are most encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will regularly teach graduate and undergraduate level courses in civil engineering; advise students; serve on academic committees; and contribute to the Department and University governance. Undergraduate teaching expectations will involve subject areas beyond the graduate level specialization. Faculty members are expected to be team players willing to contribute to the mission of the Civil Engineering Program, College of Engineering and Computer Science and the University. Positive tenure and promotion decisions require excellent teaching, research, refereed publication, and active participation in the university and the profession.
Applicants must have the following attributes:
- An earned Ph.D. in civil engineering or a closely related field by August 15, 2014.
- Undergraduate degree in civil or environmental engineering or equivalent.
- Record of publication in his or her area of expertise.
- Ability and willingness to support undergraduate and graduate teaching needs of the department.
- Ability and willingness to interact effectively with a culturally diverse group of students and colleagues.
- An earned professional engineer license or eligibility and willingness to acquire it.
Rank & Salary
The position will be at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure-track). Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
