Carlos serves as the Retention Coordinator for the College of Engineering & Computer Science. In this role, he provides academic support to students in the College of Engineering & Computer Science by coordinating a variety of programs and initiatives designed to help students succeed in their majors. In addition he coordinates the College's learning community, ECS Scholars.

With the support of a federal Title V grant, Carlos helps students in various areas including tutoring, leadership opportunities, scholarship and internship opportunities, as well as other ways of being involved both in the College and on campus.
