Outreach/Recruitment Coordinator Jenny Rodriguez

Welcome to the College of Engineering and Computer Science, Dean's Office, at California State University, Fullerton. It is with much enthusiasm that I invite you to not only utilize the services I have to offer you as the Outreach/Recruitment Coordinator here at ECS, but also to take advantage of the rest of the services listed on our website!

My primary goal and vision is to provide superb outreach and recruitment services to surrounding high schools and community colleges. Outreach events I perform include speaking presentations at local high schools that consist of faculty, alumni, ECS professionals, and other guest speakers. I also participate in college fairs throughout Southern California. There are many excelling students in the community who excel in math and/or science. With that in mind, I aim to reach out to all those students and introduce them to engineering and computer science, specifically at Cal State University, Fullerton.

Developing a strong relationship with each and every prospective student is crucial. Once the connection is formed, I strive to help students not only apply to our undergraduate program, but also get admitted into the program. My position makes every effort to allow the application process to run as smoothly as possible. In addition to helping students with the admissions process, I provide them with the information and resources that our program has to offer them, such as contacts for student organizations, financial aid information, campus tours, internship opportunities, and much more!

As a student affairs professional, I recognize the challenges prospective students in our contemporary society may face during these testing, yet exciting times in their lives. Providing students with more than adequate support and resources is not only necessary, but it is also rewarding and enriching to their collegiate experience.
