CNC Lathe Donation

On Wednesday, October 13, 2004, ECS took delivery of a 10,000 pound CNC Lathe generously donated by the Ellingson brothers, Steve (EE '72) and Rick (ME '75). The fully depreciated computer controlled OKK T-55-N/Chucker with FANUC control has a market value of $10,000 with a replacement value of $70,000.

The machine resides in the Machine Shop with Dave Parsons and offers some interesting hands-on, interdisciplinary (EE, ME and CS) opportunities for student projects/training.
