"Space Talk" project gets study at CSF

Cal State Fullerton students and faculty members are collaborating ona project ot make it easier to "talk" to satellites in space.

Tae-Wan Ryu, assistant professor of computer science, is leading the CSF team that is devising a NASA/Jet Propulsion Lab telecommunications link analysis and operation system for the Web.

Ryu recently was awarded an additional $22,988 contract to complete work that began in 2002. He has received a total of $104,202 in grant funding for the effort.

He said each user of the current system has had toinstall it onto his or her computer.
