Letter to the Emeriti

I am pleased to send all of our Emeriti, continuing and new, my greetings.  It is humbling to replace Jim Friel, our president for the last three years, because he did such a good job.  Fortunately, we continue to have the benefit of his experience as our Immediate Past President.  We also gain input from our new officers -- Ernie Toy, Vice-President and Dorothy Heide as Treasurer -- as well as our continuing officers -- Sandra Sutphen as Treasurer, and all the other members of the Executive Committee.

Ernie already has scheduled two meetings of the Emeriti for this fall, and he is working on a third.  Dorothy is reorganizing our finances to strengthen our ability to fund our current programs.  We want to hear from you, the members, about any new activities, social or philanthropic, that we should engage in.  Please respond to the questionnaire that you will receive later this fall.

In the meantime, welcome to the Emeriti of Cal State, Fullerton for the academic year of 2010-11.  I look forward to seeing you at one of our events.
