- Request a copy of your high school transcripts
- Check your school's list of required classes for graduation (A-G courses) by visiting this website: http://www.ucop.edu/doorways/
- Explore possible majors and potential schools
- Contact colleges to visit a campus or schedule an individual visit
- While you're there, take a campus tour and possibly meet with a counselor
- Keep campuses updated with your current email, mailing address and phone numbers

- -- Plan for college with admission and financial aid requirements
- -- Explore the 23 CSU campuses with a virtual tour
- -- Submit your CSU application and Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online
SEPTEMBER
It is imperative that you pass all your senior year courses with a "C" or better
- Select various colleges / universities you are interested in
- Begin completing applications (You can apply to more than one CSU campus with the online application at CSUMentor.edu)
- Be sure to include all fees, forms, and requested materials listed in the application
- Make copies of everything before sending and keep records of all correspondence
- Register for SAT 1 and/or ACT exams
- Look into housing application/deposit deadline
OCTOBER
- Application period open for all CSUs
- Start working on CSU applications
- Begin thinking about your housing options - look into the process for each college
- October 9th: Cal State Fullerton's on-campus housing application period opens (early submission is imperative) Application available online.
NOVEMBER
- Continue working on applications
- Fill out this online worksheet to determine your eligibility for financial aid
- Begin researching scholarships - many scholarships are available at CSUF
- Enjoy Thanksgiving
- November 30th: CSU application deadline
DECEMBER
- Be aware of any request made by Admissions for additional paperwork or transcripts and submit promptly
JANUARY
- Complete 8th sememster courses and maintain good grades
- Admissions needs to receive SAT1 /ACT test scores by January 15th
- Begin to fill out Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form online at CSUMentor.edu or pick up FAFSA form from guidance office
- Attend Financial Aid workshop
FEBRUARY
- Complete FAFSA and submit early
- Once FAFSA is submitted, keep in contact with Financial Aid and check on status as necessary
MARCH
- March 2: FAFSA deadline
- Admission replies are on their way
- Register for New Student Orientation (mandatory at Cal State Fullerton)
- Register for Welcome to Cal State Fullerton Day, an annual Spring event for incoming students
APRIL
- Keep track of Admissions acceptances and denials
- Attend Welcome to Cal State Fullerton Day
- Schedule mandatory English Placement Test (EPT) and Entry Level Math (ELM) tests
- You should have received Financial Aid Report detailing your award (you can correct inaccurate information through your financial aid office)
MAY
- Submit New Student Orientation registration
- Continue to search and apply for scholarships
- Housing contracts are on their way
JUNE
- Make appointment to meet with an advisor
- Housing tours of the Cobb Residence Halls available in June, July and August
JULY
- Don't miss orientation and registration days
- Submit complete official transcripts to selected campus
- Get ready for College!!!
