Cross Enrollment
Eligibility
Cross Enrollment is open to undergraduate students currently enrolled at California public institutions of higher education that are not part of the CSU (no private or out-of-state schools), and meet the additional requirements below.
- Students must be currently enrolled in at least 6 units at their home campus
- Students must have completed at least one semester as a matriculated student, and be in good standing at their home campus (at least a 2.0 GPA).
- If approved, students may take one class for a fee of $22. (This fee is subject to change. Students who wish to take additional classes must pay full Open University fees to University Extended Education).
Note:
Students attending other CSU campuses must use an Intra-system Visitor/ Concurrent Enrollment form that may be obtained from their home campus Admissions and Records or Registrar?s office. These will be reviewed and accepted on a case by case basis.
Procedures
- Complete both the Cross Enrollment application and the Open University Registration form at: http://www.csufextension.org/customercare/forms.aspx
- Obtain the signature and seal of the appropriate person/office at your home campus. If your campus will not provide the required certification, attach a copy of your work in progress that shows the number of units in which you are enrolled and proof that you are in good standing at your school.
- You are required to visit the Academic Advisement Center (UH-123) prior to first day of classes for signature by the Open University Counselor.
- First Day of Class: a) Obtain the instructor?s signature and Department Stamp on the Application for Cross Enrollment form (Host Campus Certification section), b) obtain the instructor?s signature AND academic department stamp on the Open University Registration form (opposite the class and schedule number).
- At completion of previous 4 steps, but no later than the end of the second week of classes, submit the Application for Cross Enrollment form to the Admissions and Records Service Center, located in Langsdorf Hall, room 114. Your application will be processed and immediately returned to you.
- Take your approved application and the Open University Registration form to the University Extended Education Office (CP-100) to complete processing no later than the end of the fourth week of the semester. Payment of $22.00 will be required immediately.
