Brandi Lincoln graduated from Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe Springs, California. She began her college career at Cal Poly Pomona, but after one term, she moved to her local community college. Her community college adventure began at Long Beach City College, but she eventually moved on to Cerritos College where she earned an Associate of Arts degree prior to transferring to Cal State Fullerton.
Brandi was an academically talented student who despite her frequent changes of college, never lost her focus on earning her bachelor’s degree. To prepare for her eventual transfer to Cal State Fullerton, she accessed her community college's counselor and transfer centers.
Cal State Fullerton became Brandy’s school of choice mainly because it offered her major, its location and the low cost of fees.
Brandi credits the Academic Advising Center and the advisement she received from the Psychology Department with helping to keep her on track while she was at Cal State Fullerton. While she admits that it was sometimes confusing, she believes that between all of the advising services available, the many available clubs and organizations, and with a little self-initiative, any student can make the transition from community college to university.
Brandi graduated from Cal State Fullerton in May, 2005. She is currently
pursuing her Master’s Degree in Education at Cal State Long
Beach.
