Academic Competitiveness Grant

The Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG) is a federally funded grant program available to
undergraduate students in their first and second years of study. First year CSUF Award
Maximum: $750; second year CSUF Award Maximum: $1300
To qualify, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
- Be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant
- Have completed a rigorous high school program
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR FIRST-TIME FRESHMEN: If you have been admitted to Cal State
Fullerton as a first-time freshman for fall 2009, your eligibility for the ACG award is
tentative. Once the Office of Admissions receives your final high school transcripts,
your completion of the rigorous high school program will be confirmed.
To receive a second year ACG, you must have earned at least 30 units for sophomore
status and you must have maintained a GPA of at
least 3.0 at the end of the first academic year.
If you are awarded an second year ACG, your award is tentative until your college grade point average (GPA) is confirmed.
Disbursements are made during the sixth week of classes after we have verified that
you are enrolled full-time and meet all other eligibility requirements shown above.
