Academic Competitiveness Grant
Horizontal Rule

The Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG) is a federally funded grant program available to undergraduate students in their first and second years of study. First year CSUF Award Maximum: $750; second year CSUF Award Maximum: $1300

To qualify, you must:
  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be enrolled full-time (12 units)
  • Be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant
  • Have completed a rigorous high school program
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR FIRST-TIME FRESHMEN: If you have been admitted to Cal State Fullerton as a first-time freshman for fall 2008, your eligibility for the ACG award is tentative. Once the Office of Admissions receives your final high school transcripts, your completion of the rigorous high school program will be confirmed.

To receive a second year ACG, you must have earned at least 30 units for sophomore status and you must have maintained a cumulative college grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 at the end of the first academic year.

Disbursements are made during the sixth week of classes after we have verified that you are enrolled full-time and meet all other eligibility requirements shown above.
