Federal Summer Pell Grant
If you are an undergraduate or teacher credential student who received a first Federal Pell Grant in Fall 2009 and/or Spring 2010 but did not receive a full-time payment either or both terms, you may have remaining 2009-10 Pell grant available for summer. By the end of the summer, we will check your award and post the Pell payment for which you are eligible based on your summer enrollment. You will be able to view your award on the financial aid link in your student center. Beginning in 2009/10, students who have maxed out their first Fall 09/Spring 10 Pell award have the option to receive a second Pell award if they enroll in a minimum of 6 units during Summer.
Teacher Credential Students: You must be enrolled in at least 6 units of teacher credential courses. Prerequisite or ‘waiver' courses are not included in your enrolled units for purposes of the Federal Pell Grant program.
Undergraduates: If you are receiving a second Pell award, you must enroll in at least 6 units. If you are receiving the remainder of your 2009/2010 award, You have no minimum unit enrollment requirement; your particular enrollment requirement will be based on your expected family contribution (EFC).
