Impulse spending can be the result of several different factors such as impatience, a way to deal with stress, or to boost your self-esteem. Part of the way we spend our money is based on how we feel about money. To some, money means power, to others status and prestige, and still others associate money with security, because of this there are many different spender types. To make matters worse, as consumers we are constantly bombarded with "great deals," however, if we take the time to really look at the offer, do a little comparison shopping, and consider whether or not it is something we really need, more often than not we come to realize that maybe it isn't such a great deal after all.
