Bala Balkrishna

Bala Balkrishna has nearly 30 years of banking experience in the Southern California area. Prior to founding Commercial Bank of California in May 2003, he was an executive vice president heading up the Commercial and Industrial Banking Group at First Bank and Trust in Newport Beach.

Bala graduated from the University of Delhi, India, with a Master of Arts in history, and obtained an M.B.A. from California State University, Fullerton. He is very involved with his alma mater, serving as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics. In 2005, Bala was honored by the college as a Salute to Business Leaders Award recipient.

Bala has two grown daughters and resides in Placentia, California. He is an avid golfer and enjoys traveling and fine dining.
