Pamela Hillman
Pamela Hillman joined Cal State Fullerton as Vice President for University Advancement in February 2003. In this role, she is responsible for providing leadership to the university’s fundraising, public affairs, strategic communications and alumni programs, as well as to the Cal State Fullerton Philanthropic Foundation. Her responsibilities include designing, implementing, overseeing, and evaluating a comprehensive advancement program, building relationships externally and within the campus community to garner private support for CSU, Fullerton. Additionally, she serves on CSUF’s President’s Administrative Board.
Prior to joining CSU, Fullerton, Ms. Hillman was Associate Vice Chancellor for Development at UC Riverside. As AVC, she was responsible for leading and coordinating the fundraising efforts throughout UCR – both in the central office and within the colleges, school, and programs. Working with academic and Foundation trustee leadership, she was responsible for designing UCR’s first comprehensive campaign. As President of the UC Riverside Foundation Board of Trustees, Ms. Hillman worked closely with the Chair and Executive Committee to facilitate productive goal setting, meetings of the Foundation Board and Foundation committees, and all events associated with the Foundation.
Ms. Hillman was Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles where she implemented and directed a successful $40 million capital campaign; Director of Development for the UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management School; and Director of Annual Giving at California Institute of Technology.
Pam earned her M.S. in Educational Counseling at California Lutheran College and her B.A. in Theatre Arts at California State University, Northridge.
Pam lives in Eagle Rock with her husband Dan Fineman, a professor of English at Occidental College. They have two grown daughters, Agatha and Madeline.
