Jose Lara

Jose Lara is the Senior Vice President of Planning and Development for SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union (formerly OCTFCU). He oversees all internal and external communications for the credit union which serves 400,000 members. The marketing, audit, compliance, school & community relations and strategic planning departments of the credit union are within his scope of responsibility. Jose has been employed in the financial services for more than 20 years.

Jose earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton. He also holds a Series Seven general securities license and is a graduate of Western CUNA Management School. Active in the community, Jose serves on several boards, including the Cal State Fullerton Philanthropic Foundation, Cypress College Foundation, Comunidad Latina Federal Credit Union and Education Foundation for Orange County.

SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union has been a steadfast partner with the university for over sixteen years supporting a variety of programs campus-wide.

Jose resides in Yorba Linda with his wife, Priscilla, and their son and daughter.
