Steven G. Mihaylo

Steven G. MihayloSteven G. Mihaylo, the former chairman and chief executive officer of Inter-Tel, Incorporated, founded Inter-Tel in Phoenix in 1969, beginning the 38-year journey that is Inter-Tel- evolving from simply providing business telephone systems to offering complete managed services and software that help businesses facilitate communication, increase customer service and productivity.

Mr. Mihaylo's philosophy has always been to focus on the needs of the customer, growing Inter-Tel from a one-man business to a global organization employing over 2,000 people, and servicing more than 500,000 business customers through a network of more than 60 direct sales offices and over 500 resellers worldwide. In 1981, common shares of Inter-Tel stock were offered to the public and are quoted on the NASDAQ national market system under the symbol INTL.

In 2009, Mr. Mihaylo began a new role as CEO and majority shareholder of Crexendo, Inc., a leading provider of e-commerce software for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

Mr. Mihaylo was born in Los Angeles, California. After three years of service in the United States Army's 101st Airborne Division, Steve moved to Tempe, Arizona in 1964 and began working for Western Electric as a field services engineer. Returning to California in 1966, Mr. Mihaylo attended Orange Coast College and California State University,
Fullerton, completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Finance in just 30 months. In 2007, Cal State Fullerton recognized Steve for his outstanding career achievements by presenting him with the Distinguished Alumni Award.

In addition to his professional career, Mr. Mihaylo has served on the boards of numerous community organizations and was Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 2004 Man of The Year. He has been a strong proponent of higher education in both Arizona and California.

Steve's support of his alma mater through his leadership and philanthropy reflects his generosity as well as his commitment to Cal State Fullerton. In addition to serving on the College of Business and Economics Dean's Advisory Board, he also served as Chairman of the College's first-ever comprehensive fundraising campaign. As Chair, Steve led a 12-member Campaign Cabinet for their $20 million campaign to construct a new state-of-the art building and to fund innovative student and faculty programs as well as scholarship support for talented and deserving students. In addition to his $4.5 million leadership gift to the Campaign, Mr. Mihaylo made an additional record-setting $30 million gift to this alma mater. The new Steven G. Mihaylo Hall and the Steven G. Mihaylo College of Business and Economics are a tribute to his generosity.
