Doug Simao
Doug is an entrepreneur who combines a passion for the arts, with a talent for technological innovation. Accomplished in the area of business performance and data asset management, he provides technical and management consulting services to leading companies.
His expertise and creativity have been critical to the design and deployment of enterprise performance management systems for clients including Coca Cola, Nissan, Disney Home Entertainment, and First American Title Insurance Company. Simao has also served as Chief Marketing Officer of two major players in the business intelligence and analytics business.
Simao is now CEO of Narratus. As the founder, Simao created Narratus to provide leading-edge business performance management solutions, and digital media services that support process and system adoption. Because of its dedication to supporting the arts, Narratus is an eight-time winner of the Orange County Business Committee for the Arts Award.
A native of Hawaii, Simao is a Chapman University alumnus who resides in Yorba Linda, California. Doug and his wife Kate, a CSUF alumna, are generous supporters of the Performing Arts Center and performing arts programs at Cal State Fullerton. He is also co-founder, along with Kate, of Team Cabaret, a program that provides a safe place for teens to share what has heart and meaning through story and song – and be applauded for it. Simao currently serves on the Board of Directors of several organizations, including Orange County’s Pacific Symphony, the Orange County High School of the Arts, the CSUF MAMM Alliance for support of the performing arts, and is a 2005 Spirit of Philanthropy Award recipient.
