College of Education

What makes the college unique?

The College of Education is the only university teacher preparation program in Orange County accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). NCATE is the most prestigious accrediting body in the nation.

The college provides more than 20 education credential and certificate programs and offers 17 different education graduate degrees, including the Ed.D. program, which enrolled its first students in fall 2007.

Why should I give?

What better way to do good in the world than to help bright young people as they prepare to enter the noble profession of teaching? Individuals can give to academic programs and much-needed scholarship funds as well as giving a gift in honor of an educator who has made a difference in his or her life through the Honor an Educator Scholarship Fund. In addition, the college has other major funding priorities.

Who benefits from my gift?

Students, faculty and children benefit from excellent teacher preparation programs supported by generous donors who recognize our society’s need for an increasingly educated population.
