What should I know about scholarships?

There is one way to truly impact a student’s life – making a gift to support scholarships. At Cal State Fullerton, scholarships are awarded based on need, based on merit, or to a student for a particular academic experience.

Why should I give?

Many scholarships have been created through donations by alumni and friends of Cal State Fullerton who want to provide a quality education for deserving students. Scholarship donations may be designated to assist a student pursuing a particular academic major, or any student requiring financial aid. In addition to donating to a specific scholarship fund, you may set up a scholarship endowment through the University Advancement Foundation in which the investment earnings are used for scholarships each year and the original gift is held in perpetuity. Who benefits from my gift?

For many students, a scholarship makes the difference between being able to pursue and complete their college education – or never enrolling in college at all. Your gift affects students for the rest of their lives.
