Business Students are a Wise Investment For Businessman and His Wife

Richard and Theresa Davis

“Exciting” is the word that Richard Davis uses when he talks about the future of the Steven G. Mihaylo College of Business and Economics at Cal State Fullerton. A 1983 graduate of the business college, Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics.

Before joining U.S. Bancorp and its predecessors, Richard was an executive vice president at Bank of America and Security Pacific Bank, both located in Los Angeles. Currently, he is the chairman, president and CEO of U.S. Bancorp, where his strategic vision influences the company’s many businesses, including consumer banking, wholesale banking and asset management.

Richard and his wife Theresa are loyal and generous supporters of Cal State Fullerton. Recently, they made a $150,000 unrestricted commitment to the Mihaylo College of Business and Economics. Richard said, “My wife and I focus on supporting institutions – but we especially focus on supporting the leaders of those institutions – and we are very proud of both President Gordon and Dean Anil Puri.”

Richard and Theresa hope that their gift will be used to further the reach of Cal State Fullerton, allowing more students to enjoy the benefits of a world-class education. “We trust that the leaders of Cal State Fullerton will determine the best use for our funds to ensure a very prosperous investment in Cal State Fullerton and its students,” Richard said.
