From our beautiful campus and involved alumni, to our dedicated faculty and exceptional undergraduate and graduate experiences - Cal State Fullerton empowers students to reach higher and supports their dreams.

Outstanding learning spaces are everywhere on our comfortably compact, beautifully landscaped 236-acre campus in the city of Fullerton in north Orange County, locataed 35 miles south of Los Angeles and close to Disneyland, Angel Stadium of Anaheim and local beaches. If you are looking for a university that is diverse with a wide variety of opportunities but with a small-college atmosphere, Cal State Fullerton may be the place for you.

For your convenience, in addition to our main campus in Fullerton, we offer coursework in several satellite and branch campuses throughout the county. One of these, our Irvine Campus, was established in fall 2002 to meet the higher education needs of central and south Orange County. The Irvine Campus offers many of the resources of a large university in a smaller, more personal learning environment.

Academic Quality

In the classroom and beyond, you are exposed to big ideas and big opportunities, including undergraduate research, professional internships, prestigious competitions, comprehensive projects, study abroad and more.

A Cal State Fullerton education goes well beyond training you for a job; it prepares you for a future full of choices. This means you gain the knowledge, confidence and skills you need and an edge for what's next, whether it's launching a rewarding career in your chosen profession or preparing for graduate and professional programs including law, education, human services and the health professions.

Cal State Fullerton is now No. 5 in the annual rankings of "Top Public Regional Universities" in the West, according to "America's Best Colleges," announced this fall by U.S. News and World Report. The university offers 107 degrees, including 55 undergraduate degrees and 52 graduate degrees, including a doctorate in education and doctor of nursing practice.

And Princeton Review's Best 294 Business Schools (2012 edition) includes the Steven G. Mihaylo College of Business and Economics, the state's largest accredited business college.

Student Life

Students in study hall

College, of course, is more than what takes place inside the classroom. During your time outside class, you can participate in more than 200 clubs and organizations offering programs and activities that include concerts, films, lectures and sports. If you're interested in Greek life, you have a choice of fraternities, sororities and several multicultural organizations.

If you want to develop leadership abilities, you can learn lifelong skills through workshops, seminars and other activities offered by our Student Leadership Institute. In fact, The Templeton Guide: Colleges That Encourage Character Development lists the institute among "Exemplary Programs" in the student leadership category.

Associated Students, Inc. offers a wide variety of experiences for leadership and involvement. Rec Sports keeps you moving with fitness classes, intramural sports programs and access to our university's facilities, including the incredible Student Recreation Center that features state-of-the-art equipment.

Whether you need a quiet place to study or relax, or a great place to meet friends and have fun, the Titan Student Union has something for everyone: Food Court and Pub, bowling alley, games and recreation area, Titan Theater and Pavilion, and study lounges. An adjacent amphitheater features noontime concerts and other live entertainment.

We are proud of our student body of more than 38,000 students, which counts diversity as one of its key characteristics. In fact, the ethnic distribution of CSUF's student body (fall 2013) is as follows:

Hispanic Ranking

CSUF is ranked first in the state and eighth in the nation and for the number of bachelor's degrees awarded to Hispanic students, as reported in Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education's "Top 100 Colleges for Hispanics" and based on 2010-11 data from the U.S. Department of Education's Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System.

Housing and Dining

If you want to experience living on campus, CSUF's student housing offers both traditional residence hall and apartment-suite choices. A new $143-million residence hall complex opened in summer 2011, adding more than 1,000 beds and a beautiful new dining facility. The new Gastronome is open to the entire campus community and offers healthy, nutritious meals, a choice of affordable meal plans, and a great place to gather with friends.

In making CSUF your home, you can earn a higher grade point average, become more involved in the campus community, be closer to campus resources, such as the library, and make great friends. The new residence halls have themed floors, academic and social programs, a computer lab and group barbecue areas.

We offer a safe environment, including emergency call centers and an escort service. Amenities include a community market, high-speed Internet access, a fitness room and group recreation areas.

Costs and Financial Aid

Even in the midst of rising college costs, you can be assured that Cal State Fullerton remains a great value, with one of the lowest public university tuitions in the nation and one that's still below the national average.

A national leader in price, quality and accessibility, Cal State Fullerton is one of only five of the nation's nearly 1,200 four-year colleges and universities doing a good job of serving low-income students, according to the first-ever analysis of federal net-price data analyzed by the Washington, D.C., based Education Trust.

If you're concerned about the cost of attending college, be assured that you're not alone. Our Financial Aid Office assists more than 40 percent of our students with loans, grants and scholarships. You can attend informative workshops on campus to help determine the type of financial aid that's best for you. Each year, the university awards nearly $2 million in scholarships and awards through universitywide scholarships or through our colleges and academic departments.
