As part of the ongoing GE Program Performance Review and in response to Executive Order 1033, this website provides information and links about policies and proposed actions the committee is considering.
Based on input from the GE Forum and continuing conversations with the campus community, the General Education Committee has completed revisions to the draft version of its proposed changes to UPS 411.201. We believe these changes have strengthened the proposed learning goals. Equally important, the proposed changes bring our campus GE program into alignment with CSU system-wide patterns and with Executive Order 1033, while not changing the distribution of GE-generated FTES throughout the university. At this time the GE committee has finished its proposed revisions. These revisions will be presented to the Academic Senate on 4/23/09.Our thanks to the many faculty throughout the campus who provided input and suggestions.
