Folino Invitational Golf Tournament

Going into its third year, the Cal State Fullerton Folino Invitational, presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California, has now become one of the premier collegiate golf events in Orange County. Cal State Fullerton will host the tournament February 16-19, 2013 at the Industry Hills Golf Course at Pacific Palms Resort.

The tournament is named for philanthropist Paul Folino, the primary benefactor behind the return of intercollegiate golf to CSUF in 2009 after a hiatus of more than two decades. Mr. Folino presently serves as Chairman of Emulex Corporation, and is a member of the Cal State Fullerton Philanthropic Foundation (CSFPF) Board of Directors.

“The Folino Invitational has become a driving force behind our student athlete scholarship program and funding” said Folino. “The golf program has come a very long way in a very short time to become one of the top 100 Division 1 ranked programs in the country.”

Twelve women’s teams and nine men's teams will compete over 54 holes beginning on Saturday and finishing on Tuesday. The amateur event, consisting of 26 foursomes of corporate supporters and invited guests, will be held on Saturday (February 16) while the collegians are playing practice rounds.
