EPOCHS' goal is to increase the number of Hispanic students who enroll in and achieve a postbaccalaureate degree at CSUF. To achieve this goal, EPOCHS targets the following five areas: community engagement, student academic services, student enrichment opportunities, faculty and staff development, and enhanced curriculum.
Graduate Learning Specialists are devoted exclusively to coaching graduate students in graduate-level academic skills including studying, presenting, and writing. They also specialize in helping those that are on academic probation.
Graduate Learning Specialists are available for free! Get coaching in the skills you need to succeed at the post-baccalaureate level.
- Citation styles, writing and research strategies, conference preparation, and much more.
In addition, throughout the semester you will find workshops tailored to the specific needs of graduate students. Past topics have included:
- Making and giving effective presentations; Overcoming Writer's Block; Citation vs. plagiarism; Editing for coherence and cohesion in writing; Building a CV; Effective communication in collaboration
