Qualifications for The Citrus Awards |
The
second annual Citrus Awards will be held on May 4, 2007.
The Citrus Awards celebrate the work of our staff and residents
from this year. |
| Anyone
living in housing can nominate staff and programs to be
selected. In addition, we will be recognizing resident students
who have a GPA of 3.5 or above. To submit nominations for
awards or to fill out a Grade Release Form see the instructions
below:

Awards
Nominations:
• Please read the description of each award. The descriptions
are listed on this web site.
• To nominate a person or program for an award, fill
out the form and be sure to write reasons why you feel this
person or program is worthy of the award. (Hard copies are
available at the RA Office)
• A list of eligible programs is listed outside the
RA Office.
• You may list all of your nominations on one form.
• Print out the form and return it to the RA Office
by April 27, 2007 at 5pm. |

Please fill out your CWID on the form and print it out and
sign and date it. (hard copies are available at the RA Office)
• Return the form to the RA Office by Friday, April
27, 2007 at 5pm.
• Housing staff will check your grades to make sure
you have received a 3.50 or above.
• You will be recognized at the Citrus Awards. |

| Thank
you for taking the time to nominate student leaders in our
Housing Community. We believe that it is important to recognize
high-achieving and inspirational leaders in the housing complex.
The following are descriptions of the types of nominees we
are searching for. |
| Please
be sure to provide detailed evidence of why your candidate
is worthy of these awards as we will be deciding who receives
the awards from this information. |

Individual
Awards |
| Outstanding
Resident Advisor Award—Recognizes the year’s
most outstanding RA-Someone who has excelled in programming
efforts, been supportive of complex-wide housing events, has
been successful at community building both inside and outside
the house, who has been responsible in their administrative
and on-call duties, and served as a model citizen within the
community. |
| Outstanding
Resident(s) Award (Phase I & Phase II)—Recognizes
residents who have best demonstrated a commitment to the CSUF
Community. This individual has participated and shown leadership
in building community events, maintained good academic standing,
been supportive of building and staff efforts to foster community,
and demonstrated a positive attitude within and outside of
the CSUF Housing community. |
| Outstanding
Professional Housing Staff Member—Recognizes
the staff that has been involved in the CSUF Residence Halls
and has had a positive impact on the academic program and/or
the overall quality of life for the residents. Examples include:
housing office staff, Resident Community Coordinators, custodial
staff, maintenance staff, etc. |

| Programming
Awards will be given in the categories of Outstanding Cultural,
Educational, and Most Original programs. To aide you in your
choice, a list of the programs that have been held over the
past year is available for you to review in the Resident Advisor
office, located on the first floor of the Cypress building.

Achievement Awards |
| We
will also be recognizing any students that have made the Dean’s
List (3.5 GPA of higher for the fall semester) in the 2006-2007
academic year. |
