Sanchez, who was commander of coalition forces in Iraq when Saddam Hussein was captured, is the keynote speaker for a Nov. 7 celebration of Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans. The highest-ranking Latino in the U.S. Army in 2006, Sanchez also will be speaking to students and signing copies of his book “Wiser in Battle: A Soldier’s Story.”
