What is the Volunteer International Peer (VIP)
Program?
The VIP program designed to assist international students with their
continual transition to the CSUF campus and community.
VIPs will have the opportunity to enhance their leadership
and cross-cultural communication skills, while developing friendships
with students who share either the same cultural background or educational
goals.

Several ways how you can serve as a VIP: (Application

International
Student Orientation Leader
Be a member of the welcome
team to meet and assist newly admitted international
students during the summer.
Intercultural Intern (Fall or Spring)
Be a student intern willing
to learn about the field of international student services and assist
the IEE office on various projects. This opportunity is available
for academic credit and is unpaid.
Cross-Cultural Contact
Be a peer mentor and resource person to new and
current international students who share either similar cultural
backgrounds or similar degree programs. Cross-Cultural Contact
VIPs assist international students by sharing their individual
perspectives on courses, insights into academic success and tips
on extracurricular activities (student activities, internships,
leadership opportunities).
