Students Subject to Special Registration

Important Note for Special Registrants:
If you are an F-1 or J-1 student and a citizen of one of the following countries: Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Egypt, Eritrea, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates or Yemen, and you wish to travel, you must go through the special US-VISIT "exit procedure" at any U.S. landport, airport or seaport before departing the U.S. INCLUDING traveling to Canada or Mexico. Failure to go through the exit procedure can result in being barred from returning to the U.S.

The US-VISIT Exit system records your digital photo and scanned index print. The exit procedures require visitors to check out at an exit station or with a U.S. VISIT attendant at the departure gate at the port.
