Arriving at CSUF
In preparation for the study at CSUF and travel to the U.S. make sure you have prepared your visa and immigration documents, secured on or off-campus housing, purchased CSUF health insurance, and made arrangements to attend mandatory orientation programs. According to U.S. immigration regulations, students who are arriving to the U.S. for the first time may arrive no earlier than 30 days before the Program Start (on Form I-20) or From Date (on Form DS-2019 item 3 Form Covers Period). If you are unable to arrive to the U.S. on or before the date indicated on your Form I-20 or DS-2019, please contact the International Students & Scholars Office immediately.
Students who are transferring their SEVIS record from another US school are not restricted to the arrival dates listed above.
All international students are expected to arrive at least one week before the classes start.
International Student Orientation
The International Student Orientation Program is designed to help you get familiar with Cal State Fullerton, immigration rules and regulations, and campus life. There are several orientation activities planned for you.
