HISTORY
Phi Beta Delta, founded at California State University Long Beach in 1986 (Alpha Chapter), now has over 160 chapters and over 5,000 members. It is the first national honor society dedicated to recognizing scholarly achievement in international education. The Beta Chapter at California State University Fullerton was founded in April 1987. We are proud to say that we have inducted more than 1,000 members since our first founding meeting, and that we are one of the most active and awarded chapters.

But Phi Beta Delta also enjoys having fun! So PBD members enjoy activities such as informal coffee socializing hours, international food potlucks, and our popular “international dessert table” event each semester.

WHAT IF YOU’RE GRADUATING?
Your membership into Phi Beta Delta is life-long. Your induction fee gives you active-member benefits for a year, so even if you’re graduating, you can still participate with us. And if you’re pursuing further study at another university, there are 160+ chapters of PBD nationwide.
PBD BEYOND CSUF

The colors of the Society are red and gold, symbolizing the strength of humankind and the energy of the sun from which all people and cultures draw strength and life. Phi Beta Delta’s motto is
