We have completed the first exciting year at our new 3 Banting campus and our students and faculty love the campus! Our student participation is at an all-time high as evidenced by our two ASI Irvine Campus Productions Coordinators Megan Pumphrey and Cesar Rodriguez. They have organized wonderful activities for students and increased student involvement to new levels, including the Camp Titan Toy Drive for Christmas. We will begin our second semester hosting meetings of the Irvine Campus Student Advisory Committee where students can bring suggestions and guidance to the Dean and other campus staff. Our new counseling and career offices are attracting a lot of attention as well as our new food trucks and extra-curricular activities. We are excited about the events that have been held in the past year with community and campus groups. We were also proud to host the scholarship reception for President Milton A. Gordon and Dr. Margaret Faulwell Gordon on December 15, 2011.

Another date to note is the CSUF Irvine Campus Literacy Festival on Saturday April 21, 2012 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This exciting event for all ages will be inside and outside the building and will feature authors, magic, music, storytellers, workshops for parents and grandparents and much more.

The Irvine Campus is eager to partner with our community businesses and our neighboring educational institutions. Whether you want to take classes, purchase Titan gear in our bookstore, hold a meeting, teleconference in our smart classrooms and conference rooms, or volunteer to serve our programs, we welcome you!

I am very proud of our outstanding students, faculty and staff. At the Irvine Campus we are a student centered campus where collaboration is encouraged and services are easy to access. I encourage you to get involved with our campus as a student, volunteer, donor or guest.
