Through its Irvine Campus, California State University, Fullerton conveniently provides to residents of central and southern Orange County high-quality academic programs at the upper-division, graduate and credential levels, together with other cultural and professional growth programs.
1.4 Goals and Objectives
Consistent with its Mission, Goals and Strategies, California State University, Fullerton through its Irvine Campus will:
A. Meet education needs in central and southern Orange County by:
- Providing access to a generous number of upper-division and graduate high-quality programs designed to serve students’ intellectual growth, professional preparation, and career advancement goals through degree and credential offerings.
- Providing academic and administrative leadership that assures high-quality program courses, student advisement and support, leading to a timely graduation or program completion.
- Facilitating local area community relationships that insure program relevance and easy access for community college and other university students.
- Making excellent use of information technology to deliver and enhance academic instruction.
B. Energetically contribute to planning for a future role as a regional focal point for intellectual, cultural & life-long learning activities in central & southern Orange County by:
- Partnering with private and public entities to integrate California State University, Fullerton’s Irvine Campus into emerging plans for public and private uses of the former Marine Corps Air Station, El Toro.
- Establishing research projects, centers and institutes that meet local and regional needs.
