Academic Advisement Seminar for Fall 2011

WELCOME FALL 2011 TRANSFER STUDENTS TO CSUF, IRVINE CAMPUS

If you plan to enroll in classes at the Irvine Campus (IRVC), you are encouraged to attend an Academic Advisement Seminar at IRVC. The seminar does not take the place of a CSUF Transfer Orientation, which is now mandatory for all undergraduate transfer students. You may satisfy the orientation requirement by: (1) Completing an online transfer overview OR (2) Attending Transfer Orientation at the Fullerton Campus (http://www.fullerton.edu/orientation/).

Academic advisement at IRVC for first semester transfers is done at an Academic Advisement Seminar in a small group setting in which each student has access to a computer. - Due to the in-depth information to cover, IRVC does not provide individual appointments for first semester transfers except Business majors and Child and Adolescent Studies. There is no charge for the Advisement Seminar at IRVC, but we do require you to RSVP as individualized advisement materials will be provided. It is important that you attend your scheduled seminar. If after two attempts you fail to attend you may be referred to the Academic Advisement Center at the Fullerton campus, which can accommodate student needs on a walk-in basis.

Business majors attending classes at IRVC should;
→ Schedule an appointment with Michelle Lucio (657.278.1656), and complete the online transfer overview and review the process located at this page (click here).

Child and Adolescent Studies majors should;
→ Schedule an appointment with Dr. Sharon Seidman (657.278.1654) and complete the online transfer overview.

Bring all documents that CSUF has sent you
Academic Advisement Seminar (AAS) will be held at Irvine Campus (IRVC)
$8.00 of exact change for a full day parking permit (if you don't have parking permit) if required
Seminars are 90minutes in length
