Campus Computing Facilities

Academic Labs
The university's eight colleges maintain acadmic computer labs for student use. Check with the respective colleges for locations and operating hours.

Classroom Technology
Lecture rooms on the campus are equipped with technology to facilitate instruction.  Each room has an equipment cabinet, ceiling mounted projector, and ceiling mounted speakers. The cabinet houses a Multimedia Presentation System  consisting of one or more computers, a system switching unit, a VCR, and facilities to accommodate a laptop computer.

Disabled Students: Computer Access Labs
this Disabled Student Services facility provides computer support services for CSUF students, faculty and staff with disabilities who need access to computers to become more independent and productive in their work. The Computer Access Lab is located within Disabled Student Services, UH-101. A separate entrance is provided through the double doors in the northeast corner of the building. Open Systems
Pollak Library: The Electronic Resources Area (ER) is located on the 1st floor of Library North. The ER is a staffed computer area with over 75 workstations. A reference librarian is available to assist patrons with research needs most hours the Library is open. The Internet Oasis is located on the 1st floor, Library South. The Oasis is a self-service computer area with over 70 workstations.
CSUF Irvine Campus: The Computer Lab in Room 145 features PCs and Macs equiped with the full MS Office Suite with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. There are both PC's and Macs.

Titan Lab and McCarthy Commons
Information Technology - Information and Learning Commons & Information Technology - McCarthy Commons offer a variety of technological resources to serve to improve students’ learning. These services include, but are not limited to
• 600 plus desktop (Mac and PC) and laptop computers
• About 30 color, black/white, dot-matrix, wireless and printer only station printers
• Almost 10 Username Look up stations
• Three Equipped Group Study Rooms
• Scanner availability
• IT Helpdesk services
• Basic software consultation
• Study spaces
• Variety of software including Office 2007 Suite
• Long availability hours

Titan Student Union
An alternative to the traditional computer laboratory, the Mainframe Lounge offers CSUF students, faculty, and staff free access to PC workstations in a comfortable lounge setting. The Mainframe offers CSUF students, faculty and staff free access to more than 30 PC workstations, with top of the line equipment for all the current needs. Visit the Lounge's website.

ULC
The ULC Computer Lab is designed as an working environment for all CSUF students. The services that the lab provides include access to computer terminals (both PC and Macintosh). Visit the ULC website.
