Jonathan Chan

Jonathan Chan, Deloitte

Jonathan Chan is a senior manager with Deloitte Global Risk Advisory helping some of the largest multinational clients solve their most pressing cyber risk challenges. His more recent work involves leading transformational cyber initiatives for global enterprises and managing cyber risks around the use of disruptive technologies such as RPA (Robotics Process Automation) and realizing value from the Internet of Things (IoT). Outside of work, Jonathan volunteers with the Center for Cyber Safety and Education by delivering cyber safety awareness program to schools, youth centers, and other community events with the goal of helping kids protect themselves online. He has presented this program to over 2,000 students across the United States. Jonathan is 2018-2020 president of the ISACA Los Angeles Chapter and actively holds CISSP, CISA, CISM, and CDPSE certifications.

Ron Manuel

Ron Manuel, FBI

Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) Ron Manuel leads the FBI Los Angeles Cyber Task Force which is responsible for investigating criminal cyber activity and other high-technology crimes impacting the greater Los Angeles area. SSA Manuel has also led international terrorism investigations and previously ran FBI LA's training program for new special agents. Prior to his employment with the FBI, he was a supply chain planner for Motorola, Inc and a U.S. Army Officer with multiple deployments. SSA Manuel received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Drexel University.

Thomas Phelps

Thomas Phelps IV is the CIO and SVP of Corporate Strategy for Laserfiche , a global provider of intelligent process automation and enterprise content management software. Thomas is the Vice Chair of Innovate@UCLA and serves on the board of directors for STEM Advantage and Southern California, Society for Information Management. He is a board advisor to Advancing Women in Technology. He is a past-president of ISACA Los Angeles and on the speakers bureau for ISACA International. He is a founding member and Past-President of Ascend Los Angeles Metro. Thomas speaks at many international and regional conferences. He has co-authored/contributed to five books, including publications by PwC, ISACA and CRC Press, and was cited in The Robotic Process Automation Handbook by Tom Taulli. 

 

Mariel Trajanop

Mariel Trajano, Laserfiche

Mariel is an Information Security Analyst at Laserfiche, a global provider of intelligent process automation and enterprise content management software. In her role, Mariel is responsible for carrying out security measures to protect the organization's network and systems.  Previously, she worked at Xerox Corporation as a Supply Chain Technology Intern.  She then started working at Laserfiche as an IT Security Intern before moving into her current role.  Mariel graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a B.S. in Computer Science.

Danielle Yamane

Danielle Yamane, The Trade Desk

Danielle is an Information Security Engineer at The Trade Desk, a global technology company specializing in digital advertising, where she is responsible for security operations and management of security initiatives across the enterprise. While attending school, Danielle was selected as a STEM Advantage Scholar and was President of Layer 8 (CSUN's Computer Security Club). She participated in various CTFs, including leading CSUN's team at the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC), where they won the Western Regional CCDC. Today, Danielle is "Paying it Forward" as the Alumna Representative on the Board of Directors for STEM Advantage, a nonprofit organization that partners with CSU Fullerton and other Cal State Universities to offer students scholarships, paid internships and mentoring.

Dr. Mikhail Gofman

dr. MIKHAIL GOFMAN, CAL STATE FULLERTON

Mikhail Gofman is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Cal State Fullerton. His research focuses on analysis of access control policies, system security, virtualization, and biometrics. Dr. Gofman also directs the Center for Cybersecurity, which engages in education, research, and community outreach in the area of cybersecurity, at the College of Engineering at Computer Science.

Ed Hudson

Ed Hudson, CALifornia State University

Ed Hudson is the Chief Information Security Officer for the California State University system. He has been with the CSU since 2009, holding roles both on campus and at the Chancellor's Office in leading efforts to define and implement system-wide information security strategy, change management efforts, and leading information security investigations and response across the CSU. Before joining the CSU, Ed held various senior leadership roles in data encryption, web application security, and network security organizations. In these positions, he was responsible for overseeing professional services, strategy and responding to and leading complex investigations regarding external and internal computer security incidents with Fortune 500 companies. 

Cory Lee

Corey Lee, Microsoft

Corey J. Lee currently works as a Zero Trust Architect at Microsoft. He has served in IT risk and assurance consulting roles for the likes of Ernst & Young and Booz Allen Hamilton. In addition to delivery architect, he serves as a solution strategist, as well as a senior consultant. Corey is a Certified Ethical Hacker.

Proofpoint Systems Engineer with more than two decades of experience assisting organizations in strengthening defenses against modern cyber threats.  Tage has worked with the most attacked, leading research universities in California to aid them in protecting their users from inbound threats as well as compliance violations.  He has held positions as a Principal Architect and Manager at AT&T, Sprint & Century Link.
