FAQ for FACULTY

How can I access my Blackboard classes to prepare for Fall?
Access your class work directly through the portal. Simply go to the www.fullerton.edu site and click Portal Logon. You will need to use the same computer name and password used to login to your workstation. Once logged in, select the Blackboard tab.

How can I modify my classes that are now in session?
You can access your class work directly through the portal. Simply go to the www.fullerton.edu site and click MYCSUF. Once logged in select the Blackboard tab. There you will be given the option to modify your coursework.

Who can I contact about Blackboard features?

When I log in to Blackboard, I don't see a class provided for me. Where are the classes?
Courses are automatically assigned to the SIS+ "instructor of record" for each class session. If the session you are teaching is assigned to STAFF or another instructor in SIS+ please contact your Department Secretary so that you can be added to the class as the instructor.

What if I am the “instructor of record”, but I do not see Blackboard courses available for me?
If you have been recently added as the “instructor of record”, please note that it will take 24 hours for the system to update your classes in Blackboard. If it is beyond 24 hours, please contact Shariq Ahmed at (714) 278-4720.

How long will it take for my course (or changes) to post so students can see them?
The additions and changes made to courses are immediately available to enrolled students.

Where do I go to see my Blackboard courses?
You can access your class work directly through the portal. Simply go to the www.fullerton.edu site and click on Portal Logon. You will need to use your CWID and PIN to login to the portal. Once logged in, select the Blackboard tab and your classes will appear there.

I was admitted to a class today. Why can't I see it in the portal?
Students must wait 24 hours, excluding Saturday and Sunday, from the time they register for a class to obtain access to the Blackboard course Web site. If students do not have access after 24 hours, they will need to verify with their instructor and find out if the Blackboard course Web site is available to students. If students cannot view their classes after 48 hours, they can email the help desk at helpdesk@fullerton.edu with your student ID, a phone number, and your full name.

What if I can't log into the portal?
If you cannot log into the portal please contact the Help Desk at 714/278-7777.
Note: Portal accounts are created 24 hours after you have registered for classes. If you have not registered for classes you will not have an account.
