PROFESSIONAL ETIQUETTE

This workshop focuses on the etiquette in the work place and in social circumstances in order to become successful professionally. The workshop includes videos exemplifying the don’ts. In addition there will be a collective quiz. 

INTERVIEW SKILLS

This discusses the several types of interviews, such as informational interviews, telephone interviews, individual interviews, etc. The workshop highlights the soft skills needed in order to increase the chances of landing the job. Students will be asked to create their personal elevator pitch. 

PUBLIC SPEAKING

This workshop centers on what public speaking skills is necessary to become successful. In addition this stresses the importance of being able to public speak. This workshop also includes several dos and don’ts. Throughout the workshop students may be asked to create a mini speech to practice their public speaking skills. 

STUDY SKILLS

This workshop elaborates on distinctive techniques students can utilize in their classroom success at Cal State Fullerton. Throughout the workshop there will be discussions on how to prepare for exams and how to begin studying.  In addition it offers the students a place where they are able to share which study tactics work best for them. 

STUDY ABROAD

The study abroad office will be providing one of their general informational topics to spike the student’s interest in participating in the several programs they offer. 

US GENDER ROLES

The WoMen's Center will be conducting a workshop that touches upon the different roles men and women are seen to have in today’s society. 

TIME MANAGEMENT

This workshop provide key components for success and a life skill, by demonstrating good methods that work for students to develop a good stead for life. This workshop also provides students with a time management sheet that will allow them to incorporate the methods they learned in this workshop. 

STUDENT INVOLVEMENT

This workshop reviews the importance of student involvement at Cal State Fullerton. In addition this workshop will provide different resources where students have the opportunity to get more information about clubs and organizations on campus. 

STRESS MANAGEMENT

This will discuss several reasons as to why students fall into stressful situations.  This workshop will also provide different methods of dealing with stress and how to avoid stressful situations. 

LEARNING STYLES

In this workshop student will be informed of the different styles of learning, such as Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic learner.  They will participate in a few activities to determine what kind of a learner they are. 

GRADUATE SCHOOL

This workshop provides an overview of the importance of going to graduate school, the preparation and qualification a student should know. Moreover it is an opportunity to explore the different programs available to each student.
