Schedule an Advising Appointment

Appointments are 20 minutes. All LSAMP students should met with the advisor at least once per semester, and when requested to do so. All appointments are made on-line and can be scheduled up to 14 days in advance. Meetings take place in UH-223. If appointments aren't available on our online schedule, please be patient and check back often as our online scheduler shows our adviser’s most up-to-date availability.

***NEW STUDENTS: If you have not made an appointment with our office before, you will first be asked to create an account, and confirm it via email. After you confirm your account please continue with booking your appointment. Confirming your account does not confirm your appointment. Please call or email if you have any reservations about whether or not your appointment has been booked.***

Online Advising via Skype

To meet the needs of our advisees, we now offer online advising through Skype. Online advising allows the advisor to connect to the user in a virtual, real time environment using a web browser, either on your smart phone, tablet or computer. To schedule an online appointment, please select the "Online Advising" option available on our scheduler (below). Choosing this option will then display the dates and times our advisor has available. Please expect an email from our office within 2-3 business days with further instructions on how to conduct your appointment. For issues or questions regarding online appointments, please feel free to contact our office at (657) 278-3980.

Phone Appointment

For those who do not live in close proximity to the University, we offer the option to schedule a phone appointment. An individual who registered for a phone appointment should call into the office on the exact date and time of their appointment. An office staff member will transfer you in to speak with our adviser. For those who live out of state, please note that we are on Pacific Standard Time (P.S.T).

Late Policy/No Show

If you do not cancel your appointment in time or do not show up, it will be recorded as a "No Show". If you arrive later than 5 minutes for your appointment, you will be asked to reschedule and it will be recorded as a "No Show".

We do understand that unexpected academic obligations, work commitments, commute issues and illnesses can affect your schedule. As a courtesy, contact us by phone during normal business hours to let us know of any change as early as possible. This will allow up to offer the time slot to another student.

Appointment Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your appointment we require at least 6 hours notice. You should cancel online via the Appointy log in screen or via your registration email.

***Please Note: If no appointments are showing as available for General Advising, please consider making an appointment for Online Advising, as more appointments are opened under this category.***
