Welcome to Project M.I.S.S.!

The M athematics I ntensive S ummer S ession, or MISS, seeks to assist college bound young women to enhance their mathematics skills. The long-term goal of the program is to increase the population of female students who choose careers in natural sciences, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, p lease make note of the changes below for the Summer 2020 program.

MISS 2020 will be a four-week online program which will begin on Monday, July 6, 2020 and end on Friday, July 31, 2020. Students will log on daily at 8:00 am for warm-ups, followed by math lessons from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. They will then have time to work on problems in teams assigned to online "rooms" with access to online help from their instructors and tutors. Students will present their work and an online "exit ticket" by 3:00 pm.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: Project MISS is not a summer school course - students will not receive any academic credit. Project MISS is a supplementary enrichment program intended to help students strengthen their foundational understanding of their next course of math. It is not meant to replace any regular academic math courses.
