Why is Orientation Important?

FIRST-TIME FRESHMEN

The New Student Orientation registration deadline has been extended. If you plan on attending classes at Cal State Fullerton this fall, you must register for NSO as soon as possible.

If you have been admitted since April 25th, please register for NSO by the deadline indicated in your admittance letter.

New Student Orientation (NSO) is MANDATORY for all first-time freshmen (admitted for fall 2008). Registering for NSO confirms your intent to attend CSUF. If you do not register for a session date, you will risk losing your admissions offer to the university.

TRANSFER STUDENTS

If you have been admitted for fall 2008, you will be able to sign up for a Summer 2008 Transfer Student Orientation (TSO) session beginning Monday, April 7 at noon or complete the Online Transfer Overview beginning Friday, August 1, 2008.

If you were admitted for spring 2008 and would like to complete the Online Transfer Overview, please click on the link below:

Begin Online Transfer Overview

All newly admitted transfer students must either attend a Transfer Student Orientation (TSO) session or complete an Online Transfer Overview before registering for their second semester courses.

Orientation is a great opportunity for you to meet fellow new students and make valuable connections with current Cal State Fullerton students, faculty and staff. New students who make these connections and create these friendships tend to be more successful in their transition to college. In fact, students who attend orientation are more likely to be satisfied with their college experience, achieve better grades and graduate!
