EMPLOYEE BENEFIT RATES
Employee benefits are charged, and included, as actual costs to grants and contracts. The nature and role of your grant’s personnel (P.I., faculty, Auxiliary Services Corporation, graduate student, etc.) will determine the rates for benefits — which are calculated as a percent of salaries and wages.
The chart below provides an overview of the 2011-12 rates for state and ASC employees, in addition to rates for full- and part-time personnel. Please review your budget template with the Office of Grants and Contracts to ensure that your calculations are correct for each year of your grant.
