  • The Sallie Mae Fund will be sponsoring the 2006 Spring - On the Road: The Paying for College Bus Tour in Anaheim, CA on April 1st and 3rd, 2006. More information is forthcoming.
  • Rene H. Hernandez, CSUF senior majoring in radio-TV-film, won the award for Best Documentary Short with his film Old Man and the Desert at the 12th annual San Diego Latino Film Festival held last spring. Hernandez co-directed the film with former CSUF student Hector V. Gonzalez. Hernandez characterizes their seven-minute film as a portrait of an eccentric Baja desert dweller.
  • On March 1, 2006 the CSUF Family Business Council will present its 3rd Annual Hispanic Family-Owned Business Conference from 8:30am to 1:00pm at the Delhi Center in Santa Ana.   • According to statistics compiled for 2004 by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), Cal State Fullerton topped the list of Colleges and Universities that graduate Latino students in Fine Arts. CSUF is 6th in degrees award to Latinos in Dance and 11th in Drama/Theater Arts/Stagecraft degrees.
