About Family PACT

Since 1997, Family PACT (Planning, Access, Care, and Treatment) has provided family planning and reproductive health services at no cost to California low-income women and men. Family PACT is funded by the state of California and matching funds are also received by the federal government. The program is administered by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) – Office of Family Planning Branch.

Access to family planning services is vital to the health of those under-insured and uninsured. The ability to plan the number and spacing of births increase the likelihood for positive health outcomes for women, men and their children. Improving knowledge about reproductive health and the ability to make informed choices about your health will result in effective family planning. Family PACT benefits are available to you at CSUF Student Health Services if you are an enrolled student and qualify for the program (see eligibility). Family PACT services are also available at private providers as well as community clinics and health departments throughout California.
