Serving South County
We are proud of our role as an intellectual and cultural center for all of Orange County. Of particular significance to South County residents, our Irvine Campus is perhaps one of the most important expressions of this long-standing commitment. Included among an array of efforts to engage and serve the entire region, the Irvine Campus boasts the resources of a large university in a more personal learning environment, featuring state-of-the-art classroom technology, a low student-to-faculty ratio and smaller class sizes.
Largest Branch in the CSU
The CSUF Irvine Campus is the largest branch campus in the California State University system, with more than 3,000 students.
Positioned for Success
Close to the renowned Irvine Spectrum Center, the Irvine Campus partners with local businesses to offer career development opportunities.
A Resource for Tomorrow's Teachers
320 students each year receive mentorship, supplementary instruction and career-planning services through the Irvine Campus' Center for Careers in Teaching.
Practical Advantage Communications
The Irvine Campus’ student-run advertising/public relations agency is among the nation's "Agency Elite."
Nursing Simulation Lab
A three-bed Nursing Simulation Lab at the Irvine Campus provides nursing students with hands-on training to prepare for their clinical experiences.
Programs Centered on South County
The Irvine Campus offers many popular programs and majors focused on key South County industries such as business, accounting and finance, health services and nursing, communication, and social services.
OC’s Intellectual and Cultural Center
Extending beyond our main campus to sites in Irvine and Santa Ana, Silverado and Garden Grove, we help create opportunity and vibrant community life for all of Orange County.
Grand Central Art Center
Setting Grand Central Art Center apart from other gallery spaces in Southern California is the philosophy of art as a crucial part of the community, a philosophy that keeps with the center's history of community involvement and its birth as a cornerstone for Santa Ana's Artists Village.
Live on Stage
The College of the Arts presents more than 400 theater and dance performances, music concerts and recitals, art exhibitions and other special events.
As the University's signature community outreach and fundraising event for scholarships and student programs, thousands come together each fall to dine al fresco "under the stars" and enjoy an evening of dazzling musical entertainment and fireworks.
